Alzheimer's Disease/Dementia

Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia

A Better Way to Manage Symptoms

Alzheimer's is a type of dementia that causes problems with memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms usually develop slowly and get worse over time, becoming severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. Home Care or Primary Care at home by a board-certified visiting doctor can help patients and their caregivers better manage their disease.

VNA Health Group works to connect patients with our clinicians specially trained in caring for individuals diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or dementia including nurses, therapists, social workers and home health aides. Those with Alzheimer's live an average of eight years after their symptoms become noticeable to others, but survival can range from four to 20 years, depending on age and other health conditions.

If you would like to supplement the care provided to you under Medicare or Medicaid our Private Care and Visiting Physician Services specialize in Alzheimer’s and dementia care. Contact us to learn more or make a referral now.
