What to Drink (and Avoid) to Stay Hydrated [Infographic]

 

As the weather starts to heat up, more and more Americans looking to engage in summer activities and enjoy the sun. When venturing out into the summer heat, be sure you're taking the right precautions for yourself and your family. Last month, I gave you 5 Sun Safety Tips to protect yourself against skin cancer, but the suns UV rays aren't the only thing that needs to be considered during the summer months.

 

Did you know that up to 75% of Americans may be suffering from chronic dehydration? Most people know that they need to drink water, but may opt for other beverages that are actually hurting rather than helping. Symptoms of dehydration vary and can include headache, farigue, constipation and high blood pressure, among others. Listen to your body and try to get the expert recommended 8 to 10 cups of water a day.
