We're looking for kind, compassionate volunteers to hrlp bring joy by joining our "Paws for Patients" Pet Therapy program. The program provides certified therapy dogs for patients receiving hospice services within their homes. Therapy dogs provide another level of healing and comfort for patients who may be experiencing pain and anxiety around their illness. Every dog in the program must be evaluated and certified by an authorized pet therapy organization.

“Pet therapy is part of Barnabas Health Hospice’s commitment to care for patients not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well,” said Leigh Conforti, Volunteer Coordinator for the Paws for Patients program at Barnabas Health Hospice. “We are proud to be able to offer this program to our patients who are going through the most difficult time in their lives.”

If this program sounds like the perfect opportunity for your dog, please contact program coordinator Leigh Conforti at 973-322-0306 to join this training.
