Gifts in Support of Barnabas Health Hospice

Through our joint venture partnership with Barnabas Health Hospice, VNA Health Group offers several ways to support patients and families during a difficult time.

Bear Hugs - Our “Bear Hugs” program is wonderful service for families helps preserve the memory of a loved one. Through the generosity of donors and gifted volunteers, the Bear Hugs program creates handcrafted stuffed bears from a garment of your loved one. These “Memory Bears” can be made from almost any sturdy, medium-weight fabric including velour, flannel pajamas, nightgowns or lightweight robes, blouses or dress shirts, cotton, knit or polo shirts, or lightweight jeans.

Music & Memory - Music & Memory is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to helping people who suffer from a wide range of cognitive and physical challenges find renewed meaning and connection through the gift of personalized music. Music & Memory is sharing a grant from the Healthcare Foundation of New Jersey with Barnabas Health Hospice, who is the first hospice agency in New Jersey to participate in the program. Barnabas Health Hospice has received “start-up kits” of iPod Shuffles, headphones and small tabletop speakers and gift cards to purchase music for creating individualized playlists for patients.

Community Outreach – Through the generosity of donors, Barnabas Health Hospice is able to provide education to the physician and patient's community about the benefits of hospice and palliative care.

The Final Wishes Program – Donating to The Final Wishes program, you are empowering hospice team members to make the most of our patients’ last days through thoughtful gestures. Your gift helps us fulfill special requests and wishes that may seem small but have a huge impact. Simple wishes like dinner and a movie, photoshoots or a holiday dinner can make all the difference for patients at this difficult time.
