The Marcia Granucci Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund
The Marcia Granucci Memorial Nursing Scholarship Fund was formed in 1995 in the memory of its namesake who was killed while serving vulnerable populations in Monmouth and Middlesex counties in New Jersey. The Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey, a member of the Visiting Nurse Association Health Group, and Marcia’s family established this scholarship as a tuition grant for nurses in pursuit of a graduate level degree and to continue the professional legacy of its namesake, who developed a community-based mental health program at VNA of Central Jersey. A 1972 graduate of Salve Regina University School of Nursing, and a 1974 graduate of the Yale University School of Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Program, Marcia Granucci was dedicated to the design of health care systems for the disenfranchised and those with mental disorders.
