Chief Compliance & Clinical Risk Management Officer
Danette Slevinski serves as Chief Compliance & Clinical Risk Management Officer for VNA Health Group, where she leads the organization’s corporate compliance, privacy, and clinical risk management programs. She supports VNA Health Group’s commitment to ethical conduct, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and privacy protection across its home health, hospice, visiting physician, children’s and family health, and community-based services.
In her role, Danette works closely with the Board of Trustees, executive leadership, and teams throughout the organization to foster a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement. She provides strategic guidance on compliance, privacy, risk management, investigations, auditing and monitoring, policy development, and corrective action planning. She also regularly reports on key compliance metrics, emerging risks, and program performance to executive leadership and the Board.
With more than 20 years of experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, legal affairs, auditing, and risk management, Danette brings extensive expertise in navigating complex regulatory and operational challenges. Prior to joining VNA Health Group, she held senior leadership positions with Atlantic Health System, University Hospital, NYU Langone Health, Bon Secours Charity Health System, and New York City Health + Hospitals. Her background includes enterprise risk management, HIPAA privacy, internal audit, regulatory compliance, investigations, corrective action planning, population health initiatives, mergers and acquisitions, and healthcare transformation.
A recognized speaker and thought leader in healthcare compliance, privacy, and risk management, Danette frequently shares insights on regulatory trends, governance, program effectiveness, and emerging healthcare risks. She also serves as a compliance program and privacy program assessor, helping organizations evaluate, strengthen, and mature their compliance and privacy frameworks to meet regulatory expectations and industry best practices.
Danette earned her Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, a Master of Public Administration in Health Care Management and Policy from New York University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Union College. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey and New York and holds multiple nationally recognized certifications in healthcare compliance, research compliance, privacy compliance, internal auditing, and information privacy.
