Ellen Gusick, RN, BSN

Chief Nursing Officer

Ellen Gusick is Chief Nursing Officer. She is responsible for the home care and hospice clinical operations in all joint ventures: VNA Health Group, LLC– a joint venture with Barnabas Home Health and Hospice and VNA of Central Jersey, Visiting Nurse Association of Englewood, and Robert Wood Johnson Visiting Nurses (RWJVN). Ellen supports the VNA’s mission by striving for excellence with a focus on metrics for clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction and employee engagement. Prior to her current role, Ellen served as the Chief of Clinical Operations, Executive Director of Home Care for Robert Wood Johnson Visiting Nurses and Director of Hospice. Ellen has 25 years of experience in home care and hospice leadership from Muhlenberg/JFK Regional Medical Center and oncology nursing at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

Ellen’s life-long passion for nursing is reflected in her career. She is dedicated to providing the finest patient care possible, achieving high levels of patient satisfaction and driving process improvement. She succeeds by building resilient teams, identifying the diversity of strengths in her employees and by instilling in them the confidence to succeed.

In her personal life, Ellen enjoys daily walks through her town of Metuchen, spending time at the beach with family and friends, seeing Broadway shows in New York, and being a diehard college basketball fan. You can also find her cheering from the sidelines for her son and daughter who participate in marathons and triathlons throughout the tri-state area.
