Chief Patient Experience Officer and VP of Service Excellence

Marie Perillo, MSN, RN, serves as VNA Health Group’s Chief Patient Experience Officer and Vice President of Service Excellence. As a formal leader around patient experience, Marie strives to influence systems, processes and behaviors to cultivate consistently positive experiences for patients and families across the continuum of care at VNA Health Group. In this data driven leadership role, Marie has created a patient experience program with a framework for continuous improvement throughout the organization. Marie is a passionate champion and advocate elevating and influencing the importance of service excellence and person centered care.

After many years in acute care, Marie joined the VNA in 2009 and has worked in various clinical and management roles which included Director of Care Coordination for VNA Health Groups participation as they led the state of NJ in a Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Demonstration Project, the Community Based Care Transitions Program. All of her prior roles helped contribute to her knowledge and passion around patient advocacy.

Marie and her husband Jack have two daughters and son in laws. Megan and her husband Tim, and Victoria and her fiancé Jon. She loves to spend time with her two rescue dogs, Emmie and Lyla, and a grandpup Brody. She enjoys traveling, bike riding, reading, relaxing on the beaches of the Jersey Shore and spending time cooking for her friends and family.
