Spiro Harrison Chooses VNA Health Group for COVID-19 Fundraising

The Law Firm has Chosen 2 Local Agencies to match up to $10,000 for donations

Red Bank, NEW JERSEY (May 27, 2020) – Spiro Harrison law firm has stepped up to support two local nonprofit agencies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The law firm with offices in New York City, Short Hills and Red Bank, New Jersey, has started a firm-wide campaign with its lawyers, managers and support staff to support those who are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis.  The firm has generously chosen Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG), one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit home health, hospice and community-based care organizations along with Lunch Break, a Monmouth County food pantry that provides food, clothing, life skills and fellowship to those in need.  Spiro Harrison will match all donations up to $10,000 for both organization.

VNAHG, who has a longstanding community partnership with Lunch Break, recently announced it has cared for its 600th COVID-19 patient, has been at the frontline of the pandemic, providing a critical role in helping to get people home safely from hospitals and nursing facilities. Spiro Harrison has been following VNAHG’s efforts as it was one of the first home health and hospice organizations to take COVID-19 referrals from hospitals and nursing facilities and treat patients who are stable enough to return to their homes.

“Spiro Harrison launched this COVID-19 fundraising campaign, with the goal of matching $10,000 in funds raised, because we were inspired by the VNA’s courageous efforts to continue caring for patients on the frontlines of the COVID-19 crisis,” says Jason Spiro. “We are pleased to generate funds to help the VNA continue to provide this care and help with the cost of supplies, equipment, training, and telehealth needed to care for COVID-19 patients.”

“The silver lining around the COVID-19 pandemic has been the incredible outpouring of generous support from the community to help the VNA care for the most vulnerable, at risk patients in their homes and facilities. It’s inspiring for our staff to know that Spiro Harrison is doing this and the funds contributed are needed for the supplies, equipment and other unreimbursed costs of caring for COVID-19 patients. We are so grateful for their support of our Coronavirus Emergency Response Fund,” says Bridget Murphy, Chief Philanthropy Officer for VNAHG Foundation.
