Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio Announces Intent to Acquire Ideal Home Health Care based in Westlake, Ohio

Brooklyn Heights, OHIO (July 2, 2019) – Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio (VNA of Ohio), a member of the Holmdel, New Jersey-based Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNA Health Group), announced their intent to acquire Ideal Home Health Care (Ideal), based in Westlake, Ohio.

VNA of Ohio is one of Ohio’s largest home health, hospice, and mental healthcare service providers throughout the state. For 117 years, the organization has been providing critical health care to the greater community. With the acquisition of Ideal, VNA of Ohio is continuing to strengthen its existing services for those in need.  

Ideal Home Health Care

As a company, Ideal has been led by the dynamic Lisa Zidek since 2014 when she oversaw around 20 employees and a 114 patient census. Under her leadership, the organization has grown to over 130 employees and a nearly 800 home healthcare patient census. Ms. Zidek will oversee the newly combined organizations, serving as President of VNA of Ohio with a focus on growth, employee engagement, and health system partner development.

VNA Health Group of New Jersey

In July 2017, VNA Health Group acquired the Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio (VNAO), the first cross-state acquisition for VNA Health Group. VNA Health Group is New Jersey’s largest nonprofit VNA and top non-profit VNA in the United States. 

With this acquisition, all of Ideal Home Health Care, including its employees and patients, will be integrated into the VNA of Ohio. During the transition, great efforts will be made by both Ideal and VNA of Ohio to ensure minimal disruption to patient care.
