VNA Health Group Earns Top Marks in Home Health Quality Ratings, Thanks to Teamwide Collaboration and Commitment to Care

Visiting Nurse Association Health Group (VNAHG) is pleased to announce that the latest Home Health Quality Star Ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) have been released, and the results highlight the team’s skilled, cooperative approach to delivering exceptional care. All VNA Health Group home health agencies received a rating of 4.0 stars or higher, surpassing the national average.

These ratings represent the coordinated efforts, daily commitment, and deep compassion of VNAHG’s caregivers and support staff. These teams work together daily to provide safe, high-quality, and compassionate care to individuals and families throughout New Jersey.

What are Home Health Quality Ratings?

The Home Health Quality Star Ratings, issued by CMS, are a national system that evaluates the performance of home health agencies based on a set of standardized quality measures, including:

  • Timely initiation of care
  • Improvement of patient function (such as walking and mobility)
  • Hospital readmission rates
  • Communication with patients and caregivers
  • Overall patient experience

Agencies are rated on a scale from 1 to 5 stars, with five stars indicating the highest level of quality performance. This rating system aims to help patients’ families and healthcare providers make informed decisions about home health services.

Moving Health Care Forward

VNAHG credits its strong partnerships, open communication, and a culture of shared responsibility as key factors contributing to its success, rather than focusing on any single approach.
“This is a phenomenal achievement, and it’s the direct result of our efforts to improve the quality, consistency, and impact of the care we provide every day,” stated Christopher Rinn, President and CEO of VNA Health Group.
