Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Certified as a Great Place to Work®

Holmdel, NEW JERSEY (June 18, 2019):

Great Place to Work Institute honored VNA Health Group with certification as a Great Place to Work. The certification process considered more than 1,000 employee surveys from across the organization. Great Place to Work, an independent research and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ job experience. These included employee pride in the organization’s community impact and belief that their work makes a difference. Rankings are based on employees’ experiences, no matter who they are or what they do.

“People are one of three pillars in our agency-wide three-year strategic plan,” said Steven Landers, MD, MPH, President & CEO of VNA Health Group. “We are now in year two of the plan and we have worked hard to address the needs and concerns of our most important asset within the organization, people. This external recognition confirms what we’ve always known: VNA Health Group is a Great Place to Work.”

Why We are a Great Place to Work

“Our focus on People in our strategic plan is more than words on paper, it is brought alive every day by our mission-driven and passionate employees caring for people in their time of need,” said Bettyanne “Bet” Rosa, MS, SPHR, Chief Human Resources Officer for VNA Health Group. “We work tirelessly to create a culture of engagement where people can feel part of something special and be recognized and rewarded for making a difference. VNA Health Group has a dedicated Chief of Employee Engagement, Lisa Zwerdling, MSN, RN-BC, who along with Employee Engagement Champions keep engagement alive every day. Lisa, a field nurse for almost 20 years, is well aware of the unique challenges and opportunities of working in home health care. As a team, we’ve come up with some creative ways to help keep people engaged.”

Further Recognition

As a Great Places to Work® Certified company, VNA Health Group is also eligible for inclusion into Fortune Magazine’s list of 100 Best Companies to Work in 2020 under the category of organizations that care for the aging population.

“We applaud Visiting Nurse Association Health Group for seeking certification and releasing its employees’ feedback,” said Dr. Jacquelyn Kung, of Great Place to Work’s senior care affiliate Activated Insights. “These ratings measure its capacity to earn its own employees’ trust and create a great workplace for high performance.”
